Do you have any forgotten money to receive?

Stay until the end of this text that we will teach you the step by step to carry out the consultation.

Understand what is happening:

The Central Bank of Brazil created a service for Brazilian citizens to be able to make inquiries and find out whether or not they have any money that would have been “forgotten” to withdraw from banks and financial institutions.

And where does this money come from?

Accounts closed, insurance installments, loans or financing with interest improperly charged.

Other times they are resources after the closing of consortium groups and capital quotas.

In a survey carried out by the Central Bank itself in June 2021, the sum of all amounts reached more than 8 billion reais.

The worst thing about this is that the vast majority of these people don't even know they have these values to receive.

These data are all made available by the Central Bank in the system called Registrato.

They refer to available balances in deposit accounts in Real (National Currency).

Positive balances on postpaid and prepaid accounts even if closed.

And, in the ledger accounts that were maintained by brokerage firms for these securities.

The Registrato's system also has information on fees that were improperly charged and that were not returned and are subject to return.

Most of the time, these resources are forgotten and not sought after by their owners.

How to carry out an inquiry in the Central Bank's Registry System

Those interested in knowing about their balances should first access the “My Financial Life” page on the Central Bank website.

After entering the page, enter your CPF or CNPJ of your company or the company represented by you.

If you have a positive balance at the time of the consultation, you must access the Registrar's system to verify it.

There you have the following information:

  • The total amount to receive;
  • Which bank has the balance owed to you;
  • And where does this feature come from.

But, before logging in to the registration, interested parties must register on the gov.br website.

To receive these values there are two options:

If the “Request Here” button is already available, it means that the bank where this amount is already acceded to the Central Bank term.

Thus, the money will be transferred to the account through a PIX made within 12 working days.

The bank can also make the transfer via TED or DOC, as long as it does not exceed this period of 12 working days of the request.

But, if the available button is “Request via Institution” it means that even though you have amounts to receive, the bank has not adhered to the Central Bank term.

Therefore, the interested party will have to contact the bank directly to arrange how these receivables will be paid.

If by chance the account you are trying to consult is older than 2001, it will not appear in this system.

In short, to make the query, enter the Central Bank website in the section (My Financial Life).

Then click on (Amounts Receivable) and see if you are entitled to these returns.
