My passion for the Champions League
I confess that my passion for Champions League football It started in childhood.
I grew up watching epic games alongside my father, eating popcorn and cheering as if we were at the stadium.
I still remember that historic goal by Zidane in the 2002 final, when Real Madrid beat Bayer Leverkusen. It was then that I realized how much these moments mark our lives.
Now, as an adult, the excitement has only increased. After all, seeing everything happen live and understanding the excitement of the biggest league in the world is special!
Where to watch the Champions League live in Europe?
So if you live here in Europe, there are essential apps that I highly recommend so you don't miss any games. Champions League live.
I'll tell you about my personal experience with each of them:
Best Apps to Watch Champions League
List of Applications in Cards
BT Sport App – Impeccable quality
I currently live in England, and here I use the BT Sport App practically every week. It's an excellent option because it broadcasts all the Champions League games live and offers impeccable image quality. The best part? I can watch up to three different games simultaneously, with multiple screens. The only downside is that it's paid, but honestly, it's worth every penny invested. I've never had any streaming problems or freezes, something that makes a difference in decisive matches.
DAZN – Much more than football
Another app that won me over is DAZN. Very popular in countries like Germany, Italy and Spain, DAZN broadcasts live Champions League matches in high definition, with exclusive commentary in several languages. I've traveled a lot around Europe and, on one of those trips, I ended up watching a Spanish classic on DAZN while I was in Barcelona. It was an incredible experience because of how easy it is to access and navigate the app. It also allows you to rewatch important moments of the games, something I love to do after the final whistle.
Movistar+ – Live and on demand
Movistar+ is especially popular in Spain and is one of the most complete options for watching the Champions League live. During my exchange program in Madrid, it was my constant companion. The quality is sensational, and what I liked most was the pre- and post-match programming, with in-depth analysis of the teams and exclusive interviews. If you are in the area or have access to it, I recommend trying it at least once.
UEFA.tv – Exclusive content
And of course, I couldn't forget UEFA.tv. Although it doesn't broadcast all the games live, the app is free and very useful for watching full matches right after the end of the matches. I use it a lot to watch the most important games of the round or to rewatch that controversial moment. In addition, UEFA.tv offers a variety of exclusive content, such as behind-the-scenes footage and interviews, which make the experience even more exciting for Champions League football fans.
Tips to improve your experience watching the Champions League
Now that you know the best apps, I'll give you some tips that I've learned over the years watching football online:
- Ensure a good internet connection. Because there is nothing more frustrating than the transmission freezing right when you score a goal!
- If you are using paid apps, consider annual plans which are usually more economical.
- Use headphones for an even more immersive experience, especially if you're in noisy environments.
- Always have a backup. If an app has an issue, you can quickly migrate to another platform without missing a beat.
